PRO TIP: Reward behavior you want to see repeated.
If someone refers clients or leads, make people feel significant with graditude and multiple points of recognition.
This will cost you nearly nothing but attention, words and follow-up. It could be as simple as an email and then a few phone call updates to let them know how it all went. It doesn’t have to require cash 💵.
Reward behaviors you like and it will ATTRACT more success.
But if their help brought you buco bucks 💰… you would be STUPID to not to put out even more effort.
To make it even MORE impactful give them a big birthday gift or a referral fee EVEN if you have no previous contract to do so.

It will be WAY easier than CHASING down new clients or leads.
According to my experience there are two types of people:
1) People who are thoughtful of others businesses and love to refer clients and make introductions to benefit others &
2) People who dont.
Anyone who made a referral once will make one again, but will they refer repeatedly to you?
You want them to keep YOU and YOUR business top of mind. You can do that with acts of gratitude and multiple moments of recognition.
My personal example is a consultant I hired at $300 an hour for advice as I negotiated selling my first business. He went above and beyond by replying to urgent texts off hours and giving me referrals.
When I sold I sent him a check for $2,500 as a thank you even though it wasn’t in a contract. He gave something that really mattered for me maximizing my sale price and more importantly helping me emotionally not stressing out.
Do you think he remembers and appreciates me? YES! FOREVER.
